Medical coding jobs offer career potential

SunSentinal-SIra Shapiro, founder of Code Smart University in Fort Lauderdale, said that salary level is possible due to the future demand for certified medical coders.

A more extensive medical coding system kicks in by 2014 that will affect every doctor's office, hospital and other healthcare provider. They will have to know the new coding to get reimbursed by Medicare or private insurance

The Broward Regional Health Planning Council announced last week that it has partnered with Code Smart University to help physicians and their staffs get training on the new coding.
